Fire damages abandoned local building

Firefighters from five departments battled a fire that damaged an abandoned residential building at 102 Frances Mine State Road in Burgettstown shortly after 8:30 p.m. Friday.
According to 911, firefighters from Burgettstown, Midway, Slovan, Hanover and Jefferson fire departments responded to the fire.
No one was inside the building, and no injuries were reported.
