Turnpike to close between Bedford, Breezewood

BEDFORD (AP) – Motorists who plan to cross the state on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Sunday might have to take an alternate route.
That’s because the toll road will be closed in both directions between the Bedford exit at mile marker 146 and Breezewood, at mile marker 161.
The 15-mile stretch will be closed from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. so crews can demolish a bridge.
Traffic will be detoured onto U.S. Route 30, which parallels the turnpike.
