Authorities are searching for a Burgettstown man charged with three felonies earlier this month in connection with a fatal crash that occurred more than a year ago on Route 18 in Hanover Township.

State police charged Stanley Reisdorf, 45, of 1515 Main St., with vehicular homicide, two counts of aggravated assault by vehicle and multiple traffic citations in the March 7, 2013, crash that killed Debra Strong.

According to court documents filed March 14 at District Judge Gary Havelka’s office, Reisdorf was driving north on Route 18 when he attempted to pass another car and crashed head-on into a southbound vehicle.

Investigators said Reisdorf was traveling 79 mph when he struck the other vehicle in a no-passing zone near Log Cabin Road. Strong, 57, of Burgettstown, was a passenger in Reisdorf’s car and died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, Curtis Warner, 27, of Hickory, suffered minor injuries. His passenger, Eric Raineri, 47, of Prosperity, was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital. Everyone was wearing seat belts, police said.

State police investigators said Reisdorf was awake and alert at the scene, and they do not suspect drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
