Fayette County pastor waives abuse charges with three girls

UNIONTOWN (AP) – A Western Pennsylvania pastor jailed and awaiting trial for allegedly trying to inappropriately touch a girl has waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges involving three more girls.
The most recent victims came forward after learning that the Rev. Ray Scott Teets, was arrested in November. He’s charged with taking an 11-year-old girl to a woodshed and trying to inappropriately touch her.
The newer cases date to 1999, when a woman, now 21, told police Teets inappropriately touched her at church. Two sisters told authorities Teets would enter their bedroom and hug and kiss them without their permission.
The 67-year-old minister denied wrongdoing in the original case, but wouldn’t comment on the newer charges Tuesday on the advice of his wife.
He pastors Fallen Timber Community Chapel in Fayette County.
