Ponce’s Place, 715 Route 481, Monongahela, was fined $1,500 for illegal use of slot machines as charged by undercover officers working for the Washington County district attorney’s office.

Judge Valarie Costanzo imposed the sentence earlier this month and also ordered the bar and restaurant business to pay the costs of prosecution.

The officers visited between April 17 and July 3 of last year the establishment, where six devices were seen and patrons received pay-outs in cash. Appearing in court was Patricia Lynne LaBrasca, whom officers identified as a co-owner of the establishment for 19 years.
