Greene County Chapter 34 of the Purple Heart will hold its bimonthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Carmichaels Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

A turkey dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Hewitt Presbyterian Church, Rices Landing. The menu includes turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, pie and beverages. Cost is $9 for adults; $4 for children 12 and under; and kids under 3 eat for free. Takeouts are available from 3:30 to 4 p.m.
