MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — A student badly wounded during a mass stabbing at his Pennsylvania high school last month has attended prom with his girlfriend.

Seventeen-year-old Jared Boger attended the Franklin Regional Senior High School prom Friday. He is able to walk but also used a wheelchair to ease the stress.

Boger suffered injuries to his liver, diaphragm and blood vessels and underwent four surgeries after the April 9 attacks at the school outside of Pittsburgh.

Sixteen-year-old Alex Hribal is charged as an adult with 21 counts of attempted homicide and aggravated assault and a school weapons violation. Police say he attacked students and a security guard in a hallway just before the morning bell.
