Theft: 14 black DEKA Marine batteries were reported stolen from a natural gas well pad operated by Rice Energy on Fava Farm Road sometime between Friday or Saturday, police said. Anyone with information should call state police at 724-223-5200.
Crash: David Lacivita, 28, of North Versailles, fell asleep and lost control of his vehicle while traveling on Route 136 Sunday at about 6 a.m., police said. His vehicle then hit a mailbox, road sign and utility pole. Lacivita sustained a minor injury.
Crash: James R. Ashton, 31, of New Salem, was traveling east on I-70 Saturday when his vehicle rear-ended a car being driven by Kevin P. Vanverth, 53, of Uniontown, police said. Ashton was injured and taken to Uniontown Hospital. He is also being charged with following too closely.
