Election office seeks workers

WAYNESBURG – The Greene County Board of Elections is looking for people to work several precinct in the May 20 primary.
Tina Kiger, director of elections, said Thursday worker are needed in the following precincts:
• Dunkard-Lower, one Democrat and one Republican
• Jefferson Township 2, one Republican
• Monongahela 2, one Democrat and one Democrat or Republican
• Morris, one Republican and one Democrat or Republican
• Richhill, one Democrat or Republican
• Springhill, one Democrat or Republican
• Wayne-West, one Democrat and one Democrat or Republican
Anyone willing to work at these precincts is asked to call Kiger at 724-852-5230.
She also reported the polling place for Dunkard-Lower, formerly the First Baptist Church in Dilliner, has temporarily moved to the Dana/Copresco Training Center.
The last day to apply for absentee ballots is Tuesday and the last day to return them is May 16. Kiger said her office will be open until 5 p.m. on both of those days.
