PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh police are warning residents to seek treatment if they’ve had contact with a rabid feral cat that attacked a woman and two toddlers.

Police said they captured and euthanized the cat after it attacked the woman, her daughter and nephew about 3 p.m. Friday. Both children are 3 years old.

Police said the cat attacked without provocation.

The victims were treated for rabies at a Pittsburgh hospital.

Police and the Allegheny County Health Department said anyone who may have been bitten, scratched or had close contact with the cat should be tested for rabies and treated if necessary. The cat was white with one blue eye and one green eye.
