First Niagara Bank in Monongahela closed its doors around noon Monday after a vehicle crashed into the building.

No one inside the bank was injured when the driver struck the back of the building at 318 West Main St. Monday morning, according to a First Niagara spokesman.

The condition of the driver was not immediately known. Monongahela police could not be reached for comment.

A company spokesman said the damage is being repaired, and the bank will reopen Tuesday.
