State Department of Transportation construction crews repairing center line potholes on Interstate 70/79 near the south junction caused lengthy backups on both interstates Tuesday. Eastbound traffic was directed to a single lane past the Beau Street exit, leading to congestion throughout the day from there to the north junction and onto I-79 beyond the Meadow Lands exit. Crews finished the pothole repairs in that area late Tuesday and expected to perform similar work on I-79 between the Marianna and Laboratory exits Wednesday.
