A 49-year-old man who has addresses in Finleyville and North Charleroi was arraigned on drug charges.

Douglas James Miller was charged by a detective from the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force. The task force along with Monongahela police had Miller under surveillance for the last several months in the Finleyville area. Monongahela police Chief Brian Tempest said four undercover purchases of crack were made from Miller.

“We have had several heroin arrests recently but this is the first cocaine-related one lately,” Tempest said. “We appreciate the task force’s efforts in helping us with our ongoing battle against drugs.”

Miller, who is incarcerated on other charges at Westmoreland County jail, was arraigned by video before District Judge James Ellis on four counts each of possession and possession with intent to deliver crack and possession of paraphernalia. Ellis set bond at $20,000. A preliminary hearing is set for July 1.
