• Action: At the request of the redevelopment authority, the board approved a lease between the county and Aeronational Inc. at the rate of $584 per month for the site known as the “Old Guard Hangar” at the county airport.

Commissioner Harlan Shober abstained from voting on a travel request from the county health center that Mark Simpson, Shober’s son-in-law, attend the Association of Linen Management Conference in Tampa Bay, Fla., June 9-11. The cost of the trip will be about $900. Commission Chairman Larry Maggi and Vice Chairman Diana Irey Vaughan voted in favor of the request.

The commissioners approved a contract for records storage at 20 South Main Street across from the courthouse with Joyce and Aaron Stimmell of Washington from June 1, 2014, through May 31, 2019, at the rate of $4.52 per square foot, for a total monthly rent of $5,405 for 14,350 square feet, with the option to renew for two additional five-year terms at $4.64 and $4.76 per square foot. The Stimmells’ bid was the only one the county received.

• Appointments: Canvass board, primary election, Leona Alexis, Paulie Chappel, Charlie Watts, David Kresh, Cathy Kresh, Margery McKinley, Myrna Calabro, Patricia Davis and Carolyn Dunklin.

• Announcement: All county offices will be closed Tuesday, May 20, for the Pennsylvania primary election and Monday, May 26, for Memorial Day.

• Next meeting: 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, in the public meeting room of the Courthouse Square office building.
