Burglary: Clarence Jones, of the 1100 block of South Sunset Beach Road, reported that his home was burglarized between May 2 and May 3 while he was not home. Jones told state police a back window to his residence was broken, and pills were stolen. A side door to his garage also had been pried open, and an air compressor and power tools were stolen.
Trespass, mischief charges: William R. McGraw, 36, of 7 Diamond St., Burgettstown, was charged Friday by McDonald police with criminal trespass, criminal mischief and public drunkenness for allegedly entering Cowboy’s Bar, 1607 Main St., Burgettstown, on May 6 and refusing to leave. After leaving the bar, he allegedly slashed the tire on the van of Patricia Yanek of Burgettstown. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
Sign reported stolen: An employee of the Burgettstown public works department told McDonald police Thursday a street sign for Hindman Avenue was stolen. The sign had just been put up, police said.
Hindering apprehension charge: Camille Brigden, 43, of 23 Horseshoe Drive, Roscoe, was arrested early Saturday by California police stemming from an incident at Peggy’s Place, 1057 Pike Drive. Police were assisting state police Bureau of Liquor Control agents who were checking the bar after receiving complaints of late closings. Police allege Brigden, an employee who was not working at the time, tried to interfere with an LCE officer. She also allegedly resisted borough police. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of hindering apprehension, resisting arrest, intimidation of witnesses and disorderly conduct. She was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Three face charges: Bryan K. Bonomo, 22, of Latrobe, and Thomas Javorske, 23, and David Scott Yuvan Jr., 21, both of Greensburg, will be charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after they were found with the items May 11 while fishing at the Union Street wharf, California police said. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Money stolen: Nina Marie Schaffer of 137 E. Pike St. told Canonsburg police Sunday $50 was stolen from a jar in her home.
Forgery, theft charges: Kristin Michelle Steffan, 30, of 865 Addison St., Washington, was arrested Saturday by state police on a warrant on charges of forgery and theft by deception stemming from an April 30 incident at Exxon, 1297 W. Chestnut St., Canton. She is accused of giving a man two counterfeit $20 bills to exchange at the station. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released on her own recognizance.
Theft, forgery charges: Joseph Howard Impiccini Jr., 36, of 230 Low Hill Road, Brownsville, was charged Monday by state police with forgery, theft, identity theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing three checks from his grandmother and cashing them for a total of $550. Impiccini, who is in Washington County jail on other charges, will be arraigned later before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Assault, harassment charges: Michael Chase Miller, 29, of 520 McKean Ave., Charleroi, was arrested early Sunday by Charleroi Regional police on charges of simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. He is accused of grabbing Shambreia Pritchett by the wrist and grabbing Curtis Pritchett by the throat during a confrontation at 421 McKean Ave. He also is accused of damaging a wall and two doors. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Tires damaged: Jeff Harkosky of 106 Beach Drive, Fallowfield, told state police Wednesday vandals cut the tires on his vehicle.
Home burglarized: Joseph E. Vilcheck of Finleyville told state police Thursday the residence he owns at 3386 Route 136, Fallowfield, was burglarized. The burglar forced open the front door and removed copper pipe from the basement.
Threat charges: Blake Bebray Serecin, 23, of Aliquippa, was arrested Saturday by Hanover Township police at First Niagara Pavilion on a charge of terroristic threats for reportedly pointing a gun at people in a parking lot. Police said he was found with a 9 mm handgun. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Underage drinking charges: Members of the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited 18 minors for underage drinking and one for having fake ID at First Niagara Pavilion, Hanover, Saturday afternoon prior to the start of the Brad Paisley concert. The charges will be sent from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
Theft reported: Philip J. LaQuatra of 216 School St. told McDonald police Friday that a package containing an amplifier was stolen from his mailbox.
Assault, harassment charges: Sean Allen Cone, 46, of 622 Mound St., Monongahela, was arrested Monday morning by Monongahela police after he allegedly punched his live-in girlfriend in the face. He left before police arrived, but they found him at the back door several hours after the alleged assault. The girlfriend, whom police did not identify, was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment of a broken nose. Cone was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Charged in assault: Joshua Taylor, 27, of 785 E. Main St., Monongahela, was arrested early Saturday by Monongahela police for allegedly slamming a woman against the wall of his kitchen during an argument. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was released with orders not to have contact with the woman.
Burglary, trespass charges: Joshua Evan Culley, 23, of Morgantown, W.Va., was arrested by state police Saturday morning on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, attempted theft, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly entered the garage of Brian Deems, 1959 E. National Pike, North Bethlehem, and tried to steal parts to a Mercedes-Benz. Deems told police he drove by and saw the garage door open. Culley was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Possession, disorderly charges: Brian Ealy, 31, of 70 Verner Lane, South Franklin Township, was charged Friday by North Franklin police with possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct after police received a report from security at Washington Crown Center that Ealy was crushing and snorting Suboxone in a restroom. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Forgery, theft charges: Robert E. Fichter, 48, of 400 W. Chestnut St., Washington, was charged Friday by North Franklin police with theft, receiving stolen property and forgery. He is accused of stealing checks from Thomas Anderson of South Main Street while doing work for him a year ago. He allegedly used the checks for a $3,664 loss to Anderson. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
DUI, underage drinking charges: Jacob Daniel Gloztach, 18, of 5960 Pudding Stone Lane, Bethel Park, was charged early Monday by North Strabane police with minor driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol and underage drinking stemming from a traffic stop. Police said they saw him make a U-turn on Route 19 about 2:20 a.m. and drive erratically. His blood-alcohol content was more than six times the 0.02 percent limit presumed for intoxication in anyone under 21, police said. His passenger, Andrew J. Rinbella, 20, of 1621 Calico Court, Bethel Park, also was charged with underage drinking. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.?PETERS
Drug charges: Three residents from the Mount Washington section of Pittsburgh will be charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana after they were found in a parked vehicle in the lot of Canonsburg Lake at 1:36 a.m. Monday, township police said. When officers arrived, they said they found the driver, Chelsy M. Harlan, 18, of 334 Virginia Ave., outside of her vehicle chasing her small dog. Officers said they detected the odor of marijuana and saw a bag of suspected marijuana in the rear seat with a passenger, Matthew J. McDermott, 20, of 661 Chess St. Police said another bag of suspected marijuana was found in Harlan’s purse. Harlan, McDermott and another passenger, Charles A. Coppinger, 20, of 203 Dilworth St., will receive citations by summons.
One hurt: James P. Welsh, 63, of Monongahela, was injured Friday when his car was struck from behind on a ramp to Interstate 70 eastbound in Belle Vernon by a pickup truck driven by Shane Connelly, 19, of Pittsburgh. Welsh was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. Connelly will be cited by state police with failure to obey stop and yield signs.
Assault, harassment charges: Mark Timothy Beattie II, 31, of 605 Moore Road, South Franklin, was arrested early Sunday on charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting his wife, Tori Marissa Johnson, after dragging her out of a friend’s home. He reportedly threw her to the ground and kicked her. She told police that she did not remember how she got back to their home. When she left to go to her parents’ home, he allegedly assaulted her again. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Two charged: Marcus Dajuan Berry, 22, and Joeonte L. Crockett, 26, both of Cleveland, Ohio, were arrested Friday night by South Strabane police on charges of retail theft after reportedly stealing items from Tommy Hilfiger and Old Navy stores at Tanger Outlets. They were arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $7,500 bond.
Charges pending: Stephen J. Germadinik, 52, of Washington, is facing charges after he allegedly hit a parked vehicle Saturday afternoon on Route 40 west of Route 519 in South Strabane. State police said blood was drawn to determine his BAC.
Two face charges: George F. Kearns Jr., 40, of 13 Nugent St., Washington, and Donald L. Snow Jr., 42, of 111 Holly Drive, McMurray, face charges stemming from a reported theft Friday at Wal-Mart, Trinity Point. Snow is charged with retail theft and conspiracy for allegedly stealing items from the store, while Kearns is charged with theft by deception and conspiracy for allegedly returning the stolen items for a gift card. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft charge: Christopher J. Wall, 31, of 375 N. Wade Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by South Strabane with retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, May 2. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Assault, disorderly charges: Austin Alexander Boyd, 17, of 223 McKean Ave., Charleroi, was charged as an adult early Monday by Charleroi Regional police with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, simple assault, harassment and reckless endangerment. Boyd is accused of breaking a 40-ounce beer bottle over the head of Robert Johnson. Johnson was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. Boyd was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released with orders to have no contact with the alleged victim.
Stolen vehicle: Samuel A. Shuba, 29, of Pittsburgh, is accused of stealing a friend’s car while it was idling on North College Street May 7. Police said they stopped Shuba about an hour later in the stolen vehicle in the 300 block of West Chestnut Street and charged him with receiving stolen property, escape, resisting arrest and prohibited acts.
Hit-and-run crash: City police said they charged Mark W. Allen, 51, of 780 Duncan Ave., Washington, with driving under the influence following a hit-and-run crash near his home April 6. Police said Allen suffered head injuries when he struck the windshield of his car. He also was charged with reckless driving and causing an accident with damage.
Vehicle burglarized: Alex Johnson, of the 600 block of Glenn Street, reported a GPS and iPod adapter were stolen from his vehicle overnight Friday.
Prescriptions stolen: Victims on the 1000 block of Jefferson Avenue and the 300 block of Lincoln Terrace reported prescription pills were stolen from their residences last week between Wednesday and Friday.
Car vandalized: Joel Pintola, of 50 Park Avenue, reported that the rear window of his vehicle was broken overnight Friday.
