Teen charged: A 17-year-old Washington boy was charged Monday in a juvenile allegation with vehicle theft for allegedly stealing a vehicle owned by Justin Lee Schmitt of Canonsburg and then crashing it May 3 near 1172 Brush Run Road, Amwell. State police said a 17-year-old Washington boy who was a passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of a fractured vertebrae and sternum and a concussion. The suspect, who is already on juvenile probation, was placed in Jefferson County (Ohio) Juvenile Detention Center.

TV, game console stolen: Raymond Santoro, of 418 Bluff St., told Canonsburg police Monday a flat screen television and Xbox game console were stolen from his home.

Assault, harassment charges: Adam Mlanick, 34, of 428 Highfield St., was arrested Monday night by Canonsburg police for allegedly shoving Leslie Gretz, 30, in the chest during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

One injured: Melissa Mowry, 26, of 203 Richland Ave., Canonsburg, was injured Monday when her vehicle crashed into the rear of a vehicle driven by Alan Graytok, 50, of 141 Maple St., Canonsburg, on Adams Avenue at Morganza Road, Canonsburg police said.

Gambling alleged: The state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement has cited the Independent Club of Muse, Cecil Township, for allowing gambling on the premises. The charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who can levy penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses to $5,000 for more serious offenses.

Debit card stolen: Donna Johnston, of 340 Sprowls Ave., told Chartiers police Saturday that her debit card was stolen and used to withdraw $352 from an automated teller machine at CoGo’s in Houston.

Machine damaged: A soft drink machine at IGS, Country Club Road, was broken into and money stolen Thursday, Chartiers police said.

Assault, harassment charges: Mark William Painter, 45, of 15 Middle St., Clarksville, was arrested Monday by East Bethlehem police after he allegedly struck Debbie Vuono during a confrontation at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was released with orders to have no contact with Vuono.

Student faces charges: A 17-year-old Canonsburg boy faces charges of bringing a weapon on school property and public drunkenness stemming from an incident Monday at Canon-McMillan High School. North Strabane police responded to the office of the dean of students for a report of a 10th-grader under the influence of an unknown substance. Police said school officials found a small butterfly knife during a search of the boy’s belongings. The charges will be filed in a juvenile allegation.

Drug charges: Allysha Annelle Reffert, 19, of 208 Summit Ave., Canonsburg, was charged Monday by North Strabane police with possession of heroin, marijuana and paraphernalia stemming from a Dec. 24 incident at a home on Meadowridge Drive. Police were called to the home after she reportedly overdosed on heroin. Medical personnel were able to revive her. Four stamp bags of heroin were found in her purse. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Signs stolen: Six street signs were stolen between May 13 and May 14, township police said. The signs are valued at $360.

Toilets damaged: Paper towels were set on fire in the restrooms on the Panhandle Trail in Sturgeon, township police said. The criminal mischief was discovered Monday. Burning towels were placed on a toilet in the men’s side and in a sink in the women’s side, police said.

Assault charge: John Anthony Ford, 46, of 177 Jollick Manor, Washington, was arrested early Tuesday by Washington police after he allegedly entered the home of a neighbor at 150 Jollick Manor and punched her in the face. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
