Mischief charge: Lisa Oliver, 32, of 129 N. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg, will be charged by Canonsburg police with criminal mischief after she allegedly entered a vehicle owned by Dana J. Evans of Canonsburg while it was parked on Oriole Lane Wednesday and damaged the ash tray. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Drug charges: Jason R. Weyandt, 39, of 10 Iron St., Canonsburg, was charged Wednesday by Canonsburg police after he allegedly was found with suspected heroin and paraphernalia earlier this month. He was placed in Washington County jail on a bench warrant. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Marijuana charge: Christopher D. Maleski, 24, of 629 Western Ave., Canonsburg, was charged Thursday by Canonsburg police with possession of marijuana after he allegedly was found with the suspected drug while stopped in a West Pike Street parking lot earlier this month. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Littering, marijuana charges: Rachel Pochiba, 35, of 70 Mobile Road, Washington, was charged Thursday by Canonsburg police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and depositing wastes on the road stemming from a May 10 traffic stop on West Pike Street. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Davidson, 21, of 395 Thornwood Drive, Canonsburg, was charged Thursday by Canonsburg police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia stemming from a May 2 traffic stop. False ID charge: Shari L. Populo, 28, of 2 Maple St., Muse, was charged Thursday by Canonsburg police with providing false identification to police after she allegedly gave her sister’s name during a May 14 traffic stop. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Driver charged: Andrea Linton, 53, of 408 Greenside Ave., Canonsburg, was charged Thursday by Canonsburg police with leaving the scene of a crash and failure to render aid after she allegedly struck a vehicle driven by Lucille Cannon on Greenside May 5. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Warrant arrest: Zachary B. Leininger, 26, of Carnegie, was arraigned Thursday on a bench warrant stemming from a Jan. 10 incident. Canonsburg police were called to a home at 22 E. Pitt St. for a report of a man not breathing. Emergency medical personnel were able to revive Leininger, who police said was found with suspected heroin. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of possession of heroin and paraphernalia. Leininger was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Charged in theft: Karl John Zitelli of North Huntingdon was charged Thursday by state police with theft by deception after he allegedly was given a $7,200 check by Henry Ward to do work at his home at 225 Miller Road, Canton, in June 2013. The work was never done, and Zitelli never returned the money, police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Theft, receiving charges: Robert B. Spriggs, 57, of 312 Greenwood Drive, North Strabane Township, was charged Thursday by state police with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing two cellphones and two video games from George Hollenbach, 849 Henderson Ave., Canton, last month. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
False information: Tiffany Noel Ryan, 38, of 150 Hart Ave., Washington, was charged Thursday by state police with giving false information during an April 15 traffic stop in Canton. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Rigs collide: Two tractor-trailers collided almost head-on just after 4 p.m. Wednesday on Henderson Avenue (Route 18) near Clark Street, closing the road in both directions for more than an hour, Chartiers police said. Adam Strapazzon, 31, of New Cumberland, W.Va., told police he was driving north when he thought a vehicle was about to pull out in front of him. He hit his brakes but entered the southbound lanes, hitting a rig driven by Charles L. Ward, 46, of Valdese, N.C. The impact ripped a tire off Ward’s rig. Washington County’s hazardous materials team responded.
Gun stolen: Nicholas Openbrier of 130 Marshall Ave. told Chartiers police Wednesday a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun with a laser sight was stolen from his vehicle.
Assault, harassment charges: Julie Marie Blackburn, 36, of 115 Coyle Curtain Road, Fallowfield, was arrested Monday by state police on chargs of simple assault and harassment. She is accused of punching her husband, Russell Blackburn, in the face and biting him on the back. She was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and released on $7,500 unsecured bond with orders to have no contact with her husband.
Driver charged: John N. Oest, 34, of 254 Park Ave., Washington, was charged by North Franklin police with leaving the scene of a crash and careless driving after an officer reportedly witnessed him hitting a retaining wall at 368 W. Maiden St. Wednesday and then driving off. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Trespass charge: Darryl J. Beckner, 52, of 290 Roosevelt St., North Franklin, will be charged by North Franklin police with criminal trespass after he allegedly went into the home of his sister, Sheila Beckner of 298 Roosevelt, and removed a mower. She told police he knows he is not welcome at her home. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Copper stolen: Al Lee Selvoski of 511 Wherry Road, Somerset, told state police Monday that 120 feet of copper welding cable and a battery charger were stolen when his garage was burglarized.
Corruption of minors charge: Ian M. Smith, 18, of State Route 981, New Alexandria, was charged with corruption of a minor, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they found him with marijuana and a 16-year-old girl from Grandview Drive in his vehicle. The girl told police he smoked marijuana in front of her. Police said and officer smelled marijuana in Smith’s vehicle, and that he gave the officer a plastic bag with less then 30 grams of suspected marijuana. A glass smoking pipe also was found, police said. Smith was charged by summons.
Student injured: When a Peters Township School District bus made a sudden stop at Tepee Road and Ammons Drive to avoid striking a resident on a riding lawn mower who was in the road, one student standing in the aisle of the bus struck his head on the passenger side of the windshield, township police said. The 11-year-old student complained of a headache and was transported to St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon. None of the other 20 students on the bus were injured in the 3:58 p.m incident Monday, police said. The bus driver, Bruce Bergman, 71, also was not hurt.
