West Penn Power will temporarily shut off electricity to the Beau Regency apartment complex for several hours Monday while workers change a transformer inside the building.

The company announced its crews are turning off power in the building at 820 E. Beau St. in South Strabane from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to accommodate the work.

A Beau Regency apartment management worker, who declined to identify himself, said backup generators will be working for air conditioning and other amenities for residents. He added they do not expect residents will be without electricity for that entire time.
