Truck driver cited in crash

The driver of a tractor-trailer that collided with two fracking water trucks last month has been cited by state police with failure to drive at a safe speed and careless driving.
Jesse J. Catlett, 31, of 326 Lincoln Ave., Bentleyville, was driving on Henderson Avenue (Route 18) approaching the intersection with Hewitt Avenue and Oak Grove Road in Canton Township early April 21 when his rig crashed into the trucks.
The crash resulted in a diesel fuel spill. The intersection was closed for about 12 hours while the spill was cleaned from the road and a nearby creek.
The citations were filed Thursday at the office of District Judge David Mark.
