PENN HILLS (AP) – A Pittsburgh-area school district said the state attorney general is investigating online posts of “inappropriate photos and comments about female students.”

The Penn Hills School District said students told the high school principal about the postings made using the online name “pennhillsexpose” Oct. 22. That was the same day officials from the attorney general’s office gave students a presentation on Internet safety.

The district said the website was dismantled later that day. The district is also doing its own internal investigation.

A former school board member who saw the site said it included nude pictures of young girls, along with sexually explicit comments.

The attorney general’s office doesn’t typically confirm or deny investigations.
