Waynesburg University will host “An Evening of One-Act Plays” at 8 p.m. Nov. 19 in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center. Admission is free, and the public is invited. Students from the university’s theater program perform students’ scripts from a recent playwriting course. Under the supervision of Edward Powers, professor of theater, this event allows audiences to experience another side of the theater program and to support the efforts of student actors, student directors and student writers. Smith Cemetery Co. will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 19 at 230 Kennel Road, Waynesburg. Members are urged to attend.
