County accepts federal funding for homeless

The Washington County commissioners Thursday entered into agreements with the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development to house and provide housing supportive services to homeless individuals and families at a cost of $391,458. No county funds are required.

Residential Recovery Services is in line to receive $184,906 ,and Connect Inc. will receive $193,891.

The federal government also is paying $12,661 for administrative costs, such as case-management services and other support of programs to alleviate homelessness.
