All charges against the Donora man accused of assaulting a woman for several hours inside her Carroll Township home were waived to trial before his preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon.

Lamont Dixon, 35, of 50 S. McKean Ave., waived his right to a preliminary hearing before District Judge Mark Wilson and will head to trial on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Police said he assaulted the woman for more than four hours Sept. 19 by kicking her in the legs, choking her until she nearly lost consciousness, smacking her in the ear and banging her head on the floor several times. He remains jailed on $500,000 bond.

Dixon also is charged with robbing and attacking a 91-year-old woman inside her Rostraver Township home Oct. 21. His preliminary hearing in that case is scheduled for Nov. 24.
