WAYNESBURG – A Waynesburg man considered by law enforcement to be a suspected heroin dealer was arrested Wednesday by the Greene County Drug Task Force.

Kevin R. Yeager, 29, of 323 S. Washington St., was released on $10,000 unsecured bail following an arraignment Wednesday on four counts of manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; conspiracy to manufacture, deliver, or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; criminal use of a communication facility; and two counts of possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered or licensed.

On Sept. 26, 2013, the task force, working with a confidential informant, began the investigation into Yeager. On two separate occasions in September and October last year, the informant arranged to purchase stamp bags of heroin from Yeager, according to court records.

The first purchase took place in the parking lot of a grocery store on High Street in Waynesburg. Officers said Yeager arrived at the location in a car driven by another person, who has yet to be charged. However, the charge of criminal conspiracy claims Yeager conspired with this person to deliver 10 stamp bags of heroin to the informant in exchange for $150.

Officers said the second purchase occurred at Yeager’s residence when Yeager complaint allegedly sold 10 additional stamp bags of heroin to the same informant for $160.

Yeager’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Nov. 13 before District Judge Lou Dayich.
