Deer in danger after head stuck in plastic pumpkin

MENTOR, Ohio (AP) – Neighbors in northeastern Ohio haven’t been able to get close enough to help out a deer whose head in stuck in a plastic Halloween pumpkin bucket.
Now they are worried that the deer could starve to death because its unable to eat with pumpkin on its head.
Residents in Mentor east of Cleveland tell WKYC-TV that they’ve made several calls to authorities but so far they haven’t gotten any help.
Police did go out to the neighborhood but weren’t able to corral the deer.
Neighbors first spotted the deer with the pumpkin head on Wednesday.
They say the pumpkin’s black plastic straps appear to be embedded in the deer’s head, near its ears.
