Burglary arrest: Anthony John Mavrikas, 27, of 333 N. Main St., Washington, was arrested Monday by state police on charges of burglary and theft. He is accused of entering a home at 61 Gorby Road, Buffalo, and stealing a lock box on Aug. 27. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Escapes injury: Eric W. Eakin, 27, of Washington, escaped injury Tuesday night when his pickup truck went off Jolly School Road, struck a mailbox and sheared off a utility pole, state police said.

DUI charges pending: California police said charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending the results of blood-alcohol tests against Michael J. Wachinski, 53, of Charleroi, after a Nov. 6 crash on Pike Run Drive at West Malden Drive. Police said Wachinski was flown to Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was treated and reportedly signed himself out of the hospital. A passenger, Michael Brown, 58, of Stockdale, was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment.

Warrant arrest: Zack Mingo, 27, of West Newton, was taken into custody Monday on a bench warrant after he reportedly got into an argument with his girlfriend on West Pike Street. He was placed in Washington County jail.

Probation violation: Christopher Patterson, 29, of Houston, was taken into custody on a probation violation stemming from a traffic stop on Martindale Road, Deemston, Tuesday night. State police said he had two bags of suspected marijuana and a scale when taken into custody. He was placed in Washington County jail on a probation violation. The driver, Fred Fundy, 20, of Fredericktown, is also facing charges.

Escapes injury: Trevor Helton, 27, of Monessen, escaped injury early Wednesday when his pickup truck went off Baker Road in the 100 block and hit a hillside, state police said.

Retail Theft: Allison C. Zapadka, 29, of Sheldon Ave., Pittsburgh was charged Tuesday with retail theft after township police were called at 3:30 p.m. to T.J. Maxx, 3945 Washington Road, when she allegedly fought with a loss prevention agent and had several items hidden in her purse. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.

Drug charges: Devin J. Gordon,18, of 893 Rocky Run Road, West Finley, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and delivery of a controlled substance after he sold a fellow student at the Intermediate Unit 1 Educational Campus at Clark, 1099 Allison Ave., Washington, pills Oct. 9, according to the school resource officer. Colin M. Kelley, 18, 29 Becker Street, Houston, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after he was found with pills on the same day. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Drug charge: Kendra McCoy, 18,of 150 Oakspring Road, Canonsburg, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after a pipe was found in her backpack during a routine check Oct. 30 at Intermediate Unit 1 Educational Campus at Clark, 1099 Allison Ave., Washington, according to the school resource officer. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Burglary charges: Eric J. Waters and Robin C. Waters, both 19, of 248 N. Franklin Street, Washington, Mykhael T. Kelley, 18, of 140 W. Wylie Ave., Washington, and Zachary N. King, 20, of 173 Caldwell Ave., Washington, were charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy after they stole $600 worth of food from the concession stand at Washington Park Pool June 10, 2013, city police said. They also caused $100 worth of damage. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Theft: Tina Thompson, 43, of 3355 W. Chestnut Street, Washington, was charged with taking another person’s debit card and withdrawing more than $800 Oct. 13 and Oct. 14, city police said. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
