CORAOPOLIS (AP) – A Western Pennsylvania hunter is dead after police say he appeared to fall 15 feet from a tree stand.

A friend found 53-year-old Dale Rudolchick in the woods near his Moon Township home around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the man’s family became concerned when he didn’t return home after a day of hunting.

They say the friend found Rudolchick’s body at the base of a tree.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
