What do we know about the effects of shale gas hydraulic fracturing and processing on our health? Members of the Shale and Public Health Committee of the League of Women Voters will present the latest research at an information meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Frank Sarris Public Library, 35 N. Jefferson Ave., Canonsburg. The public is encouraged to attend.

The committee, which includes nurses, a physician and other health professionals, will present information on potential health effects and will distribute a free resource guide on the topic. Questions will be welcome. For more information, call Donna Riggle at 724-801-0426, or email verabonnet@yahoo.com.
