Theft charge: Jermaine Lamar Lane, 23, of Rankin, was charged by state police with criminal mischief and theft in connection with an incident Nov. 9 at a residence on Bel Air Drive. Police said he smashed a picture off the wall at Danyka Thomas’s residence and left with her purse.

Drug arrest: Anthony Misher, 20, whose last known address was 227 Edith Street, Belle Vernon, was charged by Charleroi police Saturday with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver. Police said he was found passed out in his car outside Cougar Mini Mart on Lincoln Avenue around 2:03 p.m., and he was transported by ambulance to Monongahela Valley Hospital. He allegedly had a brick of heroin in his front pocket, a bundle of heroin inside his wallet and needles, a spoon and empty stamp bag in his vehicle. After being released from the hospital, he was arraigned by District Judge Curtis Thompson and taken to Washington County jail on $7,500 bond.
