Simple assault charge: Amanda Renee Johnston was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond Friday after allegedly assaulting her boyfriend at 2555 Jefferson Ave., police said. Charges were filed with the office of District Judge David Mark.

Two charged: Roger Matthew Eddy, 25, of 285 Country Club Road, was charged with reckless endangerment, speeding and reckless driving, after he was clocked going about 110 mph in the eastbound lane of Interstate 70 Wednesday about 11 p.m., police said. A passenger in the vehicle, Olivia Jane Waters, 22, also of 285 Country Club Road, is being charged with hindering apprehension.

Theft: Phone wire and a fiberglass test well was stolen from a job site operated by Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania at 414 Hero Road, police said. The incident occurred between 5:30 p.m. Nov. 13 and 6 a.m. Nov. 14.

Theft: A Husqvarna mower was stolen from property belonging to Thomas McKahan at 131 Washington St., Jefferson Borough, Greene County, police said. The mower was taken between Nov. 16 and Wednesday.
