A Nemacolin man was arrested Saturday when police searched his home following a controlled buy and found a jar of marijuana, several jars with marijuana residue and smoking devices.
Joseph Andrew Brownlee, 25, of 64 Diaz Lane, was charged by Cumberland Township police with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police received a warrant to search Brownlee’s residence Saturday after a confidential informant working with the township police made a controlled buy Friday of $35 worth of marijuana from a person at the house, according to the criminal complaint.
During the search, police said they found several smoking devices throughout the residence, several jars with marijuana residue and one jar of marijuana. They also found $164, including marked bills that had been used in the controlled buy.
Brownlee was arraigned before District Judge Glenn Bates and released on $7,000 unsecured bond. His preliminary hearing is Dec. 2.
