No one was injured when fire destroyed a Centerville home Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at 764 Ridge Road shortly before 1 p.m. and found the home engulfed in flames, Richeyville fire Chief Dave Pohill said.
A woman inside the house, along with pets, escaped uninjured, Pohill said.
Crews remained at the scene for several hours as they battled the blaze. Volunteer firefighters from Brownsville, Fredericktown, East Bethlehem, West Brownsville and Denbo-Vesta 6 assisted Richeyville. The Washington County Hazardous Materials Team also was dispatched to the fire.
The state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
