The Jefferson-Morgan Ministerium will hold its annual Eve of Thanksgiving Eve community worship service at 7 p.m. today at Little Zion Church in Jefferson. The Rev. Geoff Rach will be preaching. The offering collected during the evening’s worship will benefit Jefferson Food Bank.
In preparation for the Advent season, Sugar Grove Baptist Church on Route 88 in Monongahela Township invites members of the congregation and friends to celebrate the “Hanging of the Greens” at 6 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments will be served following the service.
A free hunters’ breakfast will be held from 4:30 to 7 a.m. Dec. 1 at Waynesburg Bible Chapel, 800 E. Greene St., Waynesburg. The menu will include biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee and juice.
The Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 in the fellowship hall of Carmichaels Methodist Church for its annual Christmas party. All members are reminded to bring a covered dish as well as family members and friends. Items will be collected for the Hugs and Kisses program, the Women’s Shelter, Dress for Success, books for the book drive, and toiletries for care packages for the military. Entertainment will be provided by Bob Podish, local musician. New members are welcome.
