Two people suffered moderate injuries Monday afternoon following a two-car crash in Burgettstown in which one vehicle rolled over.

A driver was turning left from Route 18 onto Bridge Street when another car struck the side of her car, sending the vehicle onto its roof, Burgettstown fire Chief Jerry McClain said. The two occupants were injured and taken to Washington Hospital following the 2 p.m. crash, McClain said, although he did not release their identities.

The southbound lanes of Route 18 were closed for about a half-hour following the crash, McClain said. The driver of the other car was not injured.

McDonald police, who are investigating the crash, could not be reached for comment.
