Four cars destroyed in Claysville fire
Four cars and a garage were destroyed when a vehicle outside the structure caught fire in Donegal Township shortly after noon Tuesday.
Claysville fire Chief Dave Hilderbrand said the owner came home to 23 Chapman Lane and parked one of the vehicles outside. The owner later looked out and saw that vehicle on fire. The fire then spread to a garage containing three other vehicles, Hilderbrand said.
A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause. No injuries were reported.
Claysville, West Alexander and Taylorstown fire departments responded, along with the Washington County Hazardous Materials Team and Ambulance and Chair Service.
