DUI, other charges: Andrew A. Griffith, 27, of 877 Old Brick Road, West Alexander, was charged by state police last week with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to stay in his lane and careless driving stemming from a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 westbound near the Taylorstown exit, Buffalo. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Wallet stolen: Irene Bonazza of 2789 N. Main St. Extension, Washington, told Chartiers police Friday her husband’s wallet containing $150 to $200 and credit cards was stolen from Gabby Food Mart, 2440 W. Pike St.

Charged in crash: Matthew S. Garrett, 37, of 254 Taylorstown Ridge Road, Claysville, was charged last week by Donegal police with criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly crashed into a utility pole, shearing it off, Oct. 19 at Wayne and Cherry streets, Claysville. He also reportedly hit five mailboxes. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

DUI charge: Philip Vogel, 46, of Washington, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a crash Monday at American Legion Post 902, 43 Western Ave., Houston.

Two injured: Kevin L. Reese, 58, of 1078 Country Barn Road, Chartiers Township, and Michael Cushma, 53, of 324 Buckels Ave., Houston, were slightly injured when their vehicles collided Monday morning on Route 519 at the ramp from Interstate 79 southbound, North Strabane police said. Both men refused to be transported to a hospital.

Guns stolen: Ashley and Ike Linhart of 30 Keenan Road, South Franklin, told state police Monday two guns were stolen from a dresser in their home. The guns were last seen in June. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.

Restaurant cited: The operators of Red Lobster, Trinity Point, were charged Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement with selling or furnishing a 20-year-old alcohol Oct. 23.

Theft from vehicle: Nathan Jasko of 403 Stone Church Road told Southwest Regional police Monday that $500 was stolen from the glove compartment of his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Drug paraphernalia charge: Amy Faris, 53, of 150 Hart Ave., Washington, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after city police said they found her with empty stamp bags and hypodermic needles at her residence Saturday afternoon. Police said they were conducting a warrant sweep, searching for another woman, when they came upon the paraphernalia inside the home.
