The Jefferson United Methodist Church is holding a roast pork dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at Jefferson Community Center, located at the corner of Jefferson Road and N. Washington St. The menu will include roast pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, sauerkraut, country style green beans, candied carrots, homemade applesauce, rolls, desserts and beverage. The cost of the meal for adults is $10. The cost for children 12 and under is $5. Takeouts will be available.

Franklin Township will hold its annual fall cleanup day Oct. 11. From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., residents can bring unwanted household items to the municipal building. Certain items cannot be accepted. They include electronic items, such as televisions and computers, tires, batteries and oil. Air conditioning units and refrigerators must be tagged with the Freon removed and no combustible liquids such as paint can be accepted.
