Three men were charged by McDonald police in connection with a fight at a South Lincoln Street bar.

John F. Shriver, 48, of 185 S. Kings Creek Road, Burgettstown; Robert Eckels, 47, of Avella; and Vincent Cesaretti, 24, of Bridgeville, all face charges stemming from the Sept. 21 fight at the Pitt Bar.

Eckels, who was intoxicated, and Cesaretti reportedly got into an argument. Eckels reportedly started screaming at Cesaretti, who pushed the other man. Eckels reportedly fell backward, hitting his head on the ground and being knocked unconscious.

Shriver, who police said also was intoxicated, reportedly started an argument with Cesaretti, who walked outside to avoid a further incident, police said. Shriver reportedly followed him and hit Cesaretti across the back with a pool stick. Shriver also reportedly punched Cesaretti.

During the struggle, Cesaretti allegedly picked up a broken pool stick and hit Shriver in order to defend himself, police said.

Shriver was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. Eckels was charged with disorderly conduct. Cesaretti was charged with harassment. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.
