WAYNESBURG – A Rices Landing man was sentenced to 3 years in the Greene County Intermediate Punishment Program for possession of a controlled substance.
Damon Joshua Reese, 22, of 1870 Jefferson Road, pleaded guilty to four counts of possession of Hyrocodone. Police arrested Reese June 18, 2013, in Cumberland Township. They were called to investigate someone who was kicking a door there. When police arrived Reese was attempting to gain access to 105 Parkview Knoll. He told them he did not have a key to the apartment but said one of his relatives lived there, according to a criminal complaint. This person was not home at that time.
The pills were found inside a piece of a cigarette pack lying on the ground nearby. When an officer questioned what they were, Reese identified them and said they were his. He did not have a prescription for them.
As a special condition of his sentencing, Reese will be subject to random drug testing, per Greene County Judge William Nalitz.
Nalitz further ordered Reese to perform 150 hours of community service and pay $500 in fines plus court costs and fees.
