Sobriety checkpoint: Cumberland Township Police Department will be conducting sobriety checkpoints during the weekend of Oct. 10 in the township.

Vehicle strikes rock: No injuries were reported when a vehicle traveling north on Interstate 79 at 1:27 p.m. Monday struck a large rock in the roadway at the 4 mile marker, state police said. The driver of the vehicle was Ignacio Alleyne, 20, of Stafford, Va.

Crash: One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 21, state police said. Brandon Debolt, 26, of New Freeport was driving east when his vehicle ran off the highway on a curve and struck a utility pole. Debolt was taken to Southwest Regional Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
