PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Pennsylvania’s top prosecutor isn’t turning over to the state’s chief justice information on sexually explicit emails, who wants copies of any such messages sent or received by judges or court system employees.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Sunday that Attorney General Kathleen Kane emailed Chief Justice Ronald Castille on Thursday to say her office doesn’t have the time or resources to fulfill his request. She’s also raised doubts about her legal right to do it.

The paper says Castille’s reply calls Kane’s concern “bordering on the frivolous.”

The paper didn’t say how it obtained their emails.

Two top state officials resigned on Thursday after Kane released volumes of redacted emails from their time at the attorney general’s office. The emails contain pornographic images, videos and jokes with sexual content.
