Ce Ce, a family pet, was injured early Sunday when a vehicle plowed into a house on Pittsburgh Road in Somerset Township.

State police are investigating after a Jeep went off the road and hit a house at 293 Pittsburgh Road in Somerset Township early Sunday. The driver fled before police arrived.

Police and firefighters were called to the house about 2:20 a.m. Sunday to find the vehicle lodged in the house but no driver at the accident scene. The residents of the house were not hurt, but their dog, Ce Ce, who was sleeping in the living room at the time, was injured.

The road was closed for more than two hours.

Responding, in addition to state police, were emergency medical providers and volunteer firefighters from Fallowfield Township and Valley Inn.

No further details were available Monday.
