District Judge James Ellis has been recertified as a member of the Pennsylvania Unified Judicial System.

The weeklong instructional course is designed to ensure district judges remain current on a variety of legal topics and management techniques to fairly adjudicate cases and effectively supervise a district court office.

Ellis hears cases involving Nottingham, Peters and Union townships and Finleyville.
