WAYNESBURG – Louis Eugene Callazzo IV, 20, of 4433 Route 119, Home, Indiana County, who earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of bad checks, was sentenced Friday by Greene County Judge Farley Toothman to one year of probation.

Callazzo issued two checks knowing that they would not be honored by the bank. On April 25, 2013, Callazzo wrote a check for $217.05 to Burn’s Exxon in Wind Ridge and on April 27, 2013, he issued a check for $288.84 to Shough ABC Auto Parts in Richhill Township.

Callazzo pleaded guilty to the charges Jan. 8. In addition to probation, he was ordered to pay fines totaling $500, perform 100 hours of community service and pay restitution.
