Suspicious activity: Canonsburg police received a call about an abandoned residence in the 100 block of Murdock Street being entered at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The front door had been kicked in. Police said they found clothes and various items inside. They were working to determine who owns the property.

TV, rifles stolen: A 40-inch flat-screen television and four rifles were stolen when a house on Morganza Road was entered between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, township police said. A resident of the 400 block of Morganza Road said when he returned home, he found glass in the back door was broken and the house had been entered. Missing are a Chinese AK-47, a Canadian military rifle, a Ruger stainless steel .22-caliber rifle and a Remington .22 bolt-action rifle. No value was given for the weapons. The television is valued between $600 and $700.

Assault charge: William M. Jackson, 54, of 17 Ridge St., Fredericktown, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment, court records state. Police accuse him of throwing a full soft drink can at Emily Hixon, causing a severe laceration to her head about 9 p.m. Sept. 27 at 407 Sixth St. Jackson is free on $25,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant Tuesday and arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Bench warrant: Davoun Fuse, 34, was taken to Washington County Jail at 4 a.m. Thursday on a domestic relations bench warrant. Chartiers police said they responded to two incidents Wednesday night and early Thursday regarding arguments beween Fuse and Tracy Fuse at a residence in the 500 block of Western Avenue.

Suspicious activity: A woman called police to report scrap items were being stolen from a rundown farmhouse in the 100 block of Plum Run Road at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. She told police the people were drinking beer and attempting to remove an old tub.

Water main break: Police filed a report on a large water main break in the 600 block of Champion Alley at 2 a.m. Wednesday. Police said the water company was notified.

Theft: Pat Bracey told police a backhoe bucket was stolen from a parking lot at 125 Museum Rd. between Oct. 1 and Tuesday.

Suspicious activity: A woman called police to report that a dark-colored pickup truck pulled into a driveway on Gretna Road and a person tried to get into the garage about 2 a.m. Monday.

Man jailed: Russell Wayne Joki, 51, of 411 Fourth St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with simple assault, reckless endangerment, false imprisonment, unlawful restraint and harassment, court records state. Police accuse him of cutting Christine Paul of Gastonville with scissors and pulling her around by a cord wrapped around her neck about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at his residence. Joki is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Credit card fraud alleged: North Franklin police said they charged Nicholas Scott-Hugh Fields, 26, no address, with access device fraud after he allegedly took his ex-girlfriend’s truck Monday and spent $7,790 using her credit cards without her permission. Police said they found Fields in the truck about 4:15 p.m. Thursday in the 3000 block of West Chestnut Street.

Burglary: Barbara Crabtree told police various items were stolen from her garage in the 1200 block of Locust Avenue about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Suspicious vehicle: A passing motorist reported seeing a white Kia van covered in what appeared to be blood in the area of 22 Scout Drive at 10 p.m. Wednesday. Police could not locate the van.

Damage: Rebecca L. Steele, 41, of 105 Wren Way, Washington, reported that someone threw something at her 2005 Jeep Liberty while she was driving along the 500 block of Park Avenue, damaging the hood, smashing the windshield and breaking off a wiper blade on Oct. 2, North Franklin Township police said.

Theft: Marshalls, 1500 W. Chestnut St., Washington, reported four Michael Kors purses stolen Sept. 22, North Franklin police said.

Theft: Kevin Ledbetter, 27, of 464 East Hallam Ave., Washington, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole four pairs of jeans and two sets of headphones from Sears, 1500 W. Chestnut St., Washington, Sept. 24 and 25, North Franklin Township police said. Ledbetter was charged by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Woman injured in fall: Washington police said Jerika M. Lopez, 23, of Eighty Four, was injured when she fell in a parking lot in the 100 block of South Franklin Street shortly after midnight Thursday. Lopez was cited for public drunkenness and taken to Washington Hospital for treatment, police said.

Man cited twice in two days: Michael Supernaw, 56, of 520 W. Chestnut St., Washington, was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after city police said they found him staggering and falling over at Hall Avenue and Church Street at 11:12 p.m. Sunday. Police said he also was charged with disorderly conduct about 7:15 p.m. the day before for yelling obscenities near his home.

Disorderly conduct citation: City police said they cited Angela Monzon, 36, of 280 N. College St., Washington, with disorderly conduct after she allegedly caused a disturbance near 109 W. Walnut St. about 9:40 p.m. Sunday.
