Cornerstone Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. today in the log courthouse on Greene Street. Clayton Kilgore of Washington will talk on Native Americans of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Tickets for the November dinner meeting will be available. The public is welcome.
Caregivers Support Group will hold its October meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Guesman Room of Southwest Regional Medical Center. This month’s guest will be Chuck Brice, pharmacy manager at CVS Pharmacy. Attendees are encouraged to bring their medicine questions and concerns. This is an informal learning/sharing group that meets monthly to provide resources to caregivers and to share information and support to those who find themselves in a caregiving role. The John Corbly Chapter of the Daughter of the American Revolution will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greene County Country Club. Guest speaker will be Jan Caldwell, executive director of Corner Cupboard Food Bank. All members are urged to attend and are asked to bring nonperishable food items for the food bank.
A square dance, also line dancing, polkas, cake walk and more will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Rogersville fire hall. Caller will be Dave Dahl. Cost is $5 per person or $8 per couple. Food and drinks will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event benefits Center Township Volunteer Fire Department. For more information, call 724-499-5385.
