Evidence tampering charge: Nicholas Kramer, 27, of 720 W. Pike St., Chartiers Township, was arrested Friday night on charges of false reports to police, evidence tampering, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, township police said. Police said they were called to Kramer’s home for a drug overdose at about 6:15 p.m., and Kramer allegedly tampered with evidence before officers arrived. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond. Police said the person who overdosed while with Kramer survived.

Robbery charge: Ian Linkhauer was charged with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, harassment and disorderly conduct after Charleroi Regional police said he struck his ex-girlfriend in the face and stole $120 from her outside a convenience store at 750 Lincoln Ave. in North Charleroi Sept. 26.

Probation violation alleged: Police were called to a residence on Locust Drive at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday when syringes were seen inside a car, township police said. The owner gave consent to search, and police said they removed two syringes containing suspected heroin. Police said they determined the owner, Megan A. Kress, 31, of Locust Drive, was wanted for a probation violation in Washington County. She was taken to the county jail on a detainer.

Retail theft arrest: South Strabane police said they charged Joshua Adolph, 28, of Johnstown, with retail theft and trespassing for allegedly stealing $469 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart at Trinity Point shortly before noon Monday. Adolph was taken to Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Woman assaulted: Samuel Carpenter, 28, of 795 Addison St., Washington, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, accused of slapping and punching Korinne Mendicino about 8 p.m. Tuesday at his residence, police said. He is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Hit-and-run: A wall and door were damaged at a 7-Eleven store, 375 W. Chestnut St., by an older model vehicle driven by a man who fled the scene about 11 p.m. Tuesday, city police said.
