WAYNESBURG – In a brief county election board meeting Thursday, Election Director Tina Kiger announced the last day to apply for absentee ballots for the Nov. 4 general election is Oct 28 and the last day to return them is Oct. 31.
Kiger said her office will be open until 5 p.m. on both those days.
Kiger also told the election board poll workers are needed for the election, including a judge of election and clerk at Dunkard Lower; a minority inspector at Jefferson No. 2 and a clerk at Wayne West.
She also said Morris Township and Morgan/Chartiers need entire boards, or a minimum of four people, and the polling location for Dunkard Lower has been moved to the Dana/Coresco Training Center.
