PennDOT is announcing a schedule change for the I-376 (Parkway West) overnight closures in Allegheny County. The closures will occur next week Monday thru Saturday, Oct. 20-25, weather permitting.
I-376 Parkway West will close overnights between the I-79 (Exit 64) and Greentree (Exit 67) interchanges next week according to the following schedule:
• Tonight – Inbound (eastbound) closure from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Tuesday night – Outbound (westbound) closure from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Wednesday night – Inbound (eastbound) closure from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Thursday night – Outbound (westbound) closure from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Friday night – Inbound (eastbound) closure from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m.
• Saturday night – Outbound (westbound) closure from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m.
The revised schedule is necessary to accommodate postponed work because of inclement weather and sporting event traffic. Motorists are advised to use caution and allow extra time for travel. Visit 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on major roadways before traveling.
The work is part of a $72.83 million improvement project on the Parkway West. The overall project includes milling and resurfacing I-376 between I-79 and the Fort Pitt Tunnel.
Additionally, bridge preservation and rehabilitation work, drainage improvements, guardrail upgrades, signing and pavement marking, concrete median barrier replacement and sign structure rehabilitation will be conducted.
