Area man pleads guilty in five cases

WAYNESBURG – A Waynesburg man will be considered for the State Intermediate Punishment Program following his guilty plea to nine offenses in five separate cases.

Steven Eugene Hodgson, 25, of 310 Tollgate Run Road, was charged with stealing a chain saw from the Franklin Township residence of David and Linda Donley July 30, 2013.

On May 5, 2014, Hodgson took a donation jar containing $10 to $15 from the Waynesburg Sheetz Store. The money was being collected to assist the family of a young girl undergoing treatment for a tumor. Hodgson pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking.

On June 19, 2014, Hodgson removed a jug containing $250 in coins from Thralls Construction in Franklin Township. He pleaded guilty to burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking.

On June 25, 2014, Hodgson used a gas card he took from a vehicle owned by Royal Flush, Inc. of Waynesburg, to purchase fuel at Pecjak’s Sunoco in Waynesburg. He pleaded guilty to access device fraud and theft from a motor vehicle.

On June 27, 2014, Hodgson was accused of removing a window air conditioner from Thralls Construction. He pleaded guilty to burglary and criminal trespass.
